Dr. Christopher Bryant Has been a researcher first at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, England, where he undertook his first research program on agricultural development around Paris, France, where he interviewed many farmers (in French of course) around Paris. After obtaining his PhD (from October 1967 to August 1970); over the next 20 years he returned twice to the Paris region to interview again the farmers (or their children who had taken over the farms). He then had a position at the University of Waterloo for 20 years, and then was offered a position as Professor at the Université de Montréal, where he stayed for 14 years, before retiring. He was also offered an Adjunct Professorship at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). He continues his research today. His research domains include agriculture and agricultural development; climate change and its impacts on agriculture and other human activities including communities; community development; land use planning; strategic development planning; co-construction of policies and a variety of different projects. While professor at the University of Waterloo and at the Université de Montréal, Professor Bryant applied for many research grants and this enabled him to hire Ph.D. and Master students, and during his career he was director or co-director for many Ph.D. and Master students and not only in the Universities where he was a Professor. Naturally, these research activities generated a huge number of articles, book chapters and even books. In addition, up to today Profe3ssor Bryant has prepared and presented over 500 presentations at conferences and at different universities around the world. He still undertakes a great deal of research. Finally, as a researcher he has been a member of Research Gate for many years; for instance, on August 1st, 2021 his Regular Score on Research Gate was 39,97, which was higher than 97,5% of the members of Research Gate; the total number of Research Gate members then was over 20+ million researchers.
